When you’re working on around a project per week (often more)… that’s easily over 50 projects a year… you learn quickly. Something that seemed good a couple of months ago is no longer the way…
This is how people who hyper-focus become really good at things really quickly… It’s not reading… it’s not any real form of structured learning… it’s trying… over and over… almost to obsession.
You build something… you learn. You build something else… you learn. You do the same high level concepts over and over again… in different… sometimes very different ways. You get better and better until eventually… this is the way I do a thing!
But… it doesn’t stop… you look at it again in a few months and even this new improved way of doing things will be complete garbage compared to what’s to come…
Ultimately it’s continuous improvement. Rapid… semi-structured… well… sometimes fully unstructured… improvement… incremental re-wiring of the brain to keep doing better…
